This coffee is produced by the Gubata Farmers Group in the eastern parts of Guji, more specifically the Shakiso woreda (district). The landscape there is perfect for growing coffee. High, hilly mountains with stable climate and cool nights, paired with volcanic soil makes for excellent growing conditions.

The farming practices in Ethiopia are usually very traditional and most coffee produces there is organic by default. This coffee is also certified organic. Most of the work done on the farms is manual and very few tasks are mechanized, including the processing of the coffee.

The coffee is picked by hand by the individual farmers before being delivered to the Gubata farm for sorting and processing.

Tastes like red berries and black tea with hints of bergamot.

Suggested brewing recipe:

This is a fruity ethiopian coffee. Best with a fast brewing method like V60 but can also be very good with a hybrid method like a Clever Dripper.

• 18g of medium ground coffee for 300g of 92 degree water
• 40g bloom for 30 seconds
• First pour up to 120g
• Second pour up to 220g
• Third pour up to 300g, ideal brewing time 3 minutes.
• With Clever Dripper pour up to 300g after bloom and let steep for 2:30 minutes before placing on a carafe.
