They have invested in providing workers with fair wages, safe living conditions, health services, food and education. They also work with other small producers in their area to help them improve their farming practices.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003e\u003cspan style=\"mso-ansi-language: EN-GB;\"\u003eThey also care a lot about preserving natura, and have comitted to use renewable energy, conserving water and preserving natural habitats. They've also kept native trees on the farm, which are home to many types of birds and wildlife while also providing shade for the coffee trees. All this together has allowed them to get a Rainforest Alliance certification.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003e\u003cspan style=\"mso-ansi-language: EN-GB;\"\u003eDuring harvest season, the coffee is hand-picked, sorted and pulped. Then, the coffee is laid to dry on raised beds or patios.
