Diima Bensa Shantawene • Ethiopia • Espresso

Diima Bensa Shantawene • Ethiopia • Espresso
Diima means red in the oromiffa-language, one of the main languages of Ethiopia. It says something of what we can expect from this coffee. Bensa is the name of the region this comes from, and Shantawene is the village where the farms are located.
This coffee is produced by Tariku Coffee Farms, which is a cooperative of several farms in the Sidama-region. The coffee grows at extremely high elevations, which gives a long maturation time. This, combined with a long and controlled drying of the cheery, gives the coffee an intens and fruity flavour.
As an espresso this coffee is roasted medium-light to preserve the origin flavours. It's excellent as a pure espresso with a light, creamy body, and it's also works quite well with milk.
Orange marmelade, red fruits, milk chocolate.
