There's few things as delicious as Kenya espresso! Intensely vibrant and aromatic, like a sparkling wine. It can be a bit more challenging to dial-in, with high acidity and fragile aromatics, but when the espresso hits the sweet spot it really shines.

Gicherori Coffee Factory lies in the Embu-region of Kenya, on the slopes of Mt. Kenya. The area has rich volcanic soil, ample rainfall and ideal climate for growing coffee of high quality.

Gicherori is a part of Kibugu Farmers Cooperative which was founded in 1994 and has 1200 member. Coffee is an important crop for the livelihoods of people in the Kibugu area, and the cooperative works actively with its member teaching skills like water purification and conservation of native trees and plants, to ensure they have minimal impact on the local environment which they all rely on to provide food and work.

This is a classic washed Kenya.
