Producer Luis Anibal and his son Arley Calderón runs the farm Finca Villa Betulia in Colombia. They purchased the farm in 2005 and in 2012 they pivoted the production to exotic cultivars like gesha and pink bourbon. They also established their own quality lab to be able to roast and evaluate their coffee in the same way their customers do. This gives them a unique ability to understand the global specialty coffee industry and produce coffee of superior quality.

"Pink Bourbon" is closely related to Ethiopian landraces (also called Heirloom) and is also known as Rosado. It's not pink at all - or a bourbon for that matter - but has a pale orange colouring. In flavour it is delicate with some florals. The most interesting aspect of the Pink Bourbon is that it has been found to have higher contents of glucose than other coffee varieties, giving it a higher potential for body and fruity acidity.

We bought both a washed and a honey-processed lot from them and we're very pleased to be able to offer it to you!
